Managing Permissions

The Permissions Manager enables you to select the functions to which Reveille Admin console users and user groups have access. This includes the securing of Reveille Web interface functions, monitor view access and administration, group view access, and scorecard metric view access. The Kofax Monitor permissions in the Reveille Admin console leverage standard Windows Domain security. This allows the association of Windows security groups or individuals with a specific permission.

Using the Permissions Manager, you can set the following permissions:

  • Default Permissions for Dashboard Access. Permission to control the default permissions for new Dashboards.
  • Default Permissions for Group Access. Permission to control the default permissions for new Monitor Groups.
  • Default Permissions for Metric Access. Permission to control the default permission for new Metrics.
  • Default Permissions for Monitor Access. Default web access permissions applied to a new monitor. Controls the viewing of Monitors.
  • Default Permissions for Monitor Administration. Default administration permissions applied to a new Monitor.
  • Administration Access. Permission to control administration access.
  • Dashboard Admin Access. Permission to add and modify Dashboards.
  • Dashboard Update Access. Permission to modify Dashboards.
  • Dashboard View Access. Permission to view Dashboards.
  • Group Update Access. Permission to add or modify Monitor Groups from the web.
  • Employee Update Access. Permission to add or modify employees from the web.
  • Employee Notification Access. Permission to notify employees from the web.
  • Error Message Update Access. Permission to modify error information from the web.
  • Log Access. Permission to view logs.
  • OnCall Schedule Update Access. Permission to add or modify on-call schedules from the web.
  • Product Download Access. Permission to access product downloads page from the web.
  • Remote Server Administration Access. Permission to access remote server administration page from the web.
  • Schedule Update Access. Permission to add or modify schedules from the web.
  • Scorecard Administration Access. Permission to add or modify scorecard views from the web.
  • Security Administration Access. Permission to view the Security Page in the Reveille Web interface.
  • Server Dashboard Access. Permission to view the Server Dashboard page in the Reveille Web interface.
  • Support Group Update Access. Permission to add or modify on-call support groups from the web.
  • [Monitor Group] Group Access. Permission to display a list of defined monitor groups.
  • [Metric] Metric Access. Permission to access the specified Metrics (Monitor Metrics tab and Dashboard Scorecard) from the web.
  • [Monitor] Monitor Access. Permission to access the specified monitor from the web.via the Web.
  • [Monitor] Monitor Administration Access. Permission to manage the specified monitor from the Web.

Note: Changes to permissions are not effective until Reveille Web interface sessions are restarted.
